kausu and leela (Photo-story)

It was the middle of summer, the air was a bit sultry, the sun was reluctantly bidding goodbye and Kausu was waiting.
The humid wind tires one out quickly and so, when Leela arrived, Kausu had already dozed off...
Under the evening Sun's soft gaze, Kausu lights up at Leela's presence.
Leela's taunts only brightened the hue of her cheeks.

They've sat for hours under the shade of this tree, talking about everything under the sun, of dreams and dares, of books and broken hearts.

Leela and Kausu knew each other's secrets, and the tree that listened knew their hearts.

Leela interpreted Kausu's smiles from the lines she underlined in each book.

They shared books because it was the best thing they could share.

Leela's eyes didn't look so cryptic to Kausu who read every book she gave her with an unsettling excitement.
Every word in those countless books they gave each other weaved them together, into a story that smelled of battered pages and the bare earth
Time flew and stopped at the same time when they laughed, their silences pronounced but soothing.
They say their goodbyes with the sun, parting ways, holding on to the pieces of each other's heart they've exchanged.
